Richard "Rich" Everett Dean, age 63, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on October 15, 2009. He was born in Spokane, Washington on May 15, 1946. He lived most of his life in Spokane where he raised his beloved children, Krista and Tom. He had a colorful career journey. Rich is best remembered for his talent as an auto body painter. He was also a correctional officer and worked at the local psychiatric hospital. He loved the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Rich was well known by everyone, whether it was a longtime friend or a new acquaintance, for his funny and sometimes lengthy stories. He spent a lot of time with his grandchildren at the lake and enjoyed spending as much time as he could with his family. Rich is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughter, Krista; son,Tom; siblings: Tommy, Luanne, and Celie; and a number of grandchildren: He was a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. His great love, support and guidance will influence our lives forever. He touched so many hearts; he will forever be missed, but never forgotten. Funeral mass will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Ball & Dodd Funeral Home. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.

I went to elementary school with Rich as well as LC.  Even though I have had no contact with him since we graduated, it saddens me that his life was cut too short. He was a very nice person !
