Gordon Robert Gray

Gordon R. Gray, 70, of Kenmore WA, died unexpectedly from a tragic bicycle-truck accident in Kenmore on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born on June 22, 1945 in Seattle, WA, the son of the late Robert and Lois (Meacham) Gray. Gordon graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1964 and WSU in 1968.  Gordon married Jeane Chao on June 23, 1995 in Issaquah, WA. After a long career with the FDA he retired in 2001. In post retirement years he focused on healthy eating and fitness. Gordon was a world-class triathlete and member of the local triathlon club and loved competing in triathlons. He was actively training and was scheduled to compete in the World Triathlon in Chicago on September 19th. He is survived by his wife of 20 years; sisters, Carol North (Brad) and Kathleen Montgomery (Ted); nephews, Rev. Brian North (Gwen) and Kyle Montgomery (Courtney); nieces, Christine Cooper (Craig) and Lisa Bedard (Mike, and ten grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Gray. A celebration of life will be held on September 19th at 11:00 am, Rose Hill Presbyterian Church, 12202 NE 90th, Kirkland, WA.
