William (Bill/Willy) Fredrick von Bracht passed away at age 66 on July 8 2012 in Kalispell Montana where he had lived for many years. Willy was born April 4, 1946. He attended Sacajawea Junior High and graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1964 and Washington State University. Willy was a Montana smoke jumper at Missoula MT from 1968 -1970 and he was a member of the infamous Squad VI. Willy was the owner and craftsman of Sweet Earth Caskets & Cradles founded 40 years ago in Kalispell. He was an advocate of alternative funerals costing far less than traditional funerals.  Willy was a founding member of the reformed (1999) Bethel Cemetery Association in Somers MT.  Willy is buried at the Bethel Cemetery where "his contributions there shall be remembered." Willy is survived by his children.
