In Memory

William Mack Womble

William 'Bill' Mack Womble crossed over April 30, 2011. Bill was born September 4, 1946 in Houston TX but lived most of his youth in Spokane, graduating from Lewis & Clark High School in 1964. He continued his education at Eastern Washington State College (EWU) and had an advanced degree from Seattle University. Bill was an accomplished photographer, SCUBA diver, back-packer and traveler. He retired from Western Allied Systems, Seattle WA and returned to Spokane due to the progression of Multiple Sclerosis. His personality was pleasant and easy and he was charming and funny in a light-hearted way. Bill was a loyal and honest friend. He believed that long after his weary body was gone, his Life Force would continue on in every living thing around us and like a steadfast friend, “he will look for us on the other side.” Bill's brother Mark and nieces, and his wife Bonnie survive him.

I was deeply saddened to recently learn of Bill's passing.  He had the greatest sense of humor, infectious laugh and smile, and enjoyed life to its fullest, like no one I've ever known.  I will never forget his absolutely wonderful pesonality and sheer joy that he brought to others.  I was indeed privileged to call Bill Womble my friend at LC and EWU.  May he rest in peace till we meet up again.

I have great memories of time spent with Bill while on a fishing/scuba trip to Vancouver Island. Many good times in Spokane as we grew up in the same neighborhood.
