Judith Lynetta Zug Steele

I have had several careers:
1. Copy writer at three ad agencies
2. Public relations manager for two national companies: Sonic Industries (fast food drive in chain); and Express Services, Inc., (a national chain focusing on placing temporary help.)
3. English Professor at three universities in the Oklahoma City area.

With a friend in the neighborhood, we originated a monthly newspaper, working out of our homes when we were stay-at-home moms. The paper was called the East Calhoun News, and circulation climbed to 1,000 copies per month.

The only distinction I can claim during my time at Lewis and Clark is to get a standing ovation at the end of senior year graduation. That was only because I was the very last student to walk across the stage of over 700 students, so when they handed my diploma, the entire audience stood and applauded! My maiden name was ZUG. (This is not a common name on the western part of the U.S., but I was born in Pennsylvania Dutch country, where many students had German surnames: Zwirn, Zook, Zug)... and then moved to Spokane, WA during my senior year.
