DAVID MYERS GRANT (72) passed away March 17, 2018 at Cheney Care Center in Cheney WA surrounded by his children.  He was born May 18, 1945 in Portland Oregon to Joshua Frederick Grant and Zelma May Myers. Dave was a resident of Spokane for most of his life. He attended Wilson Elementary School, Lewis & Clark High School, class of 1964, Whitman College (Walla Walla WA) and Gonzaga Law School.  Dave was a private practice insurance attorney and member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association. He was also a past President of Martin Luther King Memorial Center and an Adjunct Professor at Gonzaga Law School. Dave loved to play golf, fish, travel, but most of all, spend time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could. Dave was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and Pi Kappa Delta, served as an Elder at Manito Presbyterian Church, and was a dedicated volunteer for the Spokane Police Department and Spokane Sheriff's Department for 18 years.  Dave is survived by his children, Megan (Rick) McCoy and Michael (Liz) Grant; brothers Josh (Katie) and Craig (Noi) Grant, five grandchildren, Bailey and McKenna McCoy, Kaleb, Jackson & Andrew Grant; as well as four nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private commital service was held at Riverside Memorial Park.
